Folding Electric Bike - Compact Click eco-jbuc_Click_57

I’d been looking for an electric bike for over 6 months and did a lot of research. I increased my budget as most cheaper bikes didn’t meet the standards required. I also changed to a folding bike as able to transport it easier than trying to get it on a bike rack but still wanted a step through style bike. I’ve only had my bike 3 days and I’ve not been off it. I haven’t used a bike for years and knew I’d need the assistants of electric due to the fact I live in a very hilly area and not as young or as fit as I use to be. The riding position is comfortable, but the seat and handle bar are very easy to adjust. The seat is gel and comfy also which was important. Am still not great a gear changing but easy to flip up and down by the leaver or button. But the electric bit is amazing. I live on a steep hill and I only ever see people pushing their bikes up. I was a little nervous at first going out, I had a quick look at the manual but it’s so simple to operate. There’s 3 levels of assistance I turned on the first level and I wizzed up the hill in no time it was great. Switching to electric to no electric is easy fast and simple. It’s a very attractive bike especially for a folding bike and the colour ice is lovely. I’ve had a go at folding it which in time am sure I’ll get faster but only 3 clicks and it’s done. It’s a little heavier than non electric bike but I’ve managed to lift it and I have little upper body strength. I know I wouldn’t be using a bike as much if it wasn’t electric, comfortable or easy to transport. I am planning on cycling to work which is local and go on a regular bike ride with my friend, she has a lot of bridle paths and lakes local so driving to her house in the car will be easy with a folding bike. Hopefully my teenage son will have a ride out with me too but I think he’s a little embarrassed of this mum!! It took awhile to arrive but that has been due to the Coronavirus outbreak, high levels of bike sales and limited production I’d think. However Juicy informed me it would arrive at the end of June and kept me up to date. When they rang me to arrange delivery it came early the following day which I didn’t expect I was really impressed. You really won’t be disappointed in this bike, worth spending that little extra. It’s given me a boost to get out there and cycle everywhere. Thanks Juicy Bikes!!

I bought my bike from a local dealer, who sadly closed down the shop soon afterwards. My fear about having any problems, in this case a fault developing on my charger, happened. However, upon ringing Juicy bike HQ, they quickly and without hesitation sent out a new unit. Absolutely brilliant customer focus, and the bikes are awesome too. Really happy with this UK based company.

After riding for a couple of months to get used to riding on the road again, my folding electric bike gave me the confidence to cycle from where I live in Bromley to London for The Freecycle this summer. I cycled the entire route twice and then came home on main roads from London . I had the power to pull away from traffic lights and felt relaxed and in control. I could carry lots of snacks and drinks in the panniers along with a good padlock leaving my body free to move. The ride and subsequent cycling trips are very comfortable on the saddle and with the puncture resistant tyres. I do not always use the power assist so I can work as hard as I want and go longer distances in the knowledge that if I get tired I have the power to get home. Also so when people say I'm cheating because of having the assistance I can tell them what I do which inevitably impresses particularly those who are finding cycling without help a struggle. They can see it is keeping me on a bike and keeping me fitter as I get older.

Its been great. I like it because it gets me where I want to go faster, so I can get more done in a day.
